Brooklyn Tea
Yesterday we attended a 2 hour workshop on the Japanese tea ceremony at the Urasenke Center. We learned the 4 elements at the heart of the process: WA (harmony), KEI (respect), SEI (purity), JAKU (tranquillity ) and are now a lot better at whisking matcha.
The experience motivated us to finish up our proposal for a tea ceremony related summer project. We'll see what comes of it.
