Day 89: Restoring planetary balance, briefly

brookyn morning, 4 days before equinox (around 6:20 a.m.)

Without even trying I have been up before the sun the last two mornings. Another season officially arrives with the autumnal equinox this coming Sunday. I sense this arrival as a much needed, though brief encounter, with planetary balance. For one day we will have a chance to experience an even-ing out, perhaps even a slowing down -at least in regards to light exposure. I hope to spend a good portion of these next few days outside, on the roof, enjoying the air and season before the balance tips towards winter.

"There is either an equinox (autumn and spring) or a solstice (summer and winter) on approximately the 21st day of the last month of every quarter of the calendar year. On a day which has an equinox, the centre of the Sun will spend a nearly equal amount of time above and below the horizon at every location on Earth and night and day will be of nearly the same length." -from wikipedia.
