Day 120: At the crossroads

there was ample space available for a potential audience, yet none materialized

The theme of this year's ASA conference was "at the crossroads". Throughout this trip we have found ourselves at what might be experienced as crossroads over and over. Yesterday, we found ourselves at another "crossroads" of our journey. Our audience (that wasn't one) was taken as a resounding signal that academe is probably not the most flourishing place to be in the midst of Becoming a Human | Artist. It was a profound realization at the end of such a trip. Today we head back to NYC and will begin to take up the incredibly exciting and wholly new directions that this trip has made possible.
