Welcome to the new year!!!! Yesterday I discovered that the new "solar year" (in our hemisphere) started a few days ago with the solstice. This system is based on the sun's cycles and depending on where you live the new year begins with the sun's return back to where it started (which can be any of the solstices). The adding of this word "solar" makes the whole phrase more meaningful and links it up to larger forces at play. Hope yours is off to a good start! The lunar new year is still arriving, this year it is the Ox!
