Yesterday we hiked into the dunes. Apparently the winds have been at work dramatically transforming the landscape since last summer, as the paths were completely rearranged. Our destination was the parabolic dune (see day 29 for a view from inside). It was incredibly beautiful dusted with snow, and it was a welcome experience to stand at the edge of a crater created by nature, not the nuclear.
