Day 35: Golden Hour

"In photography, the golden hour (also known as magic hour) is the first and last hour of sunlight during the day when a specific photographic effect is achieved with the quality of the light during these hours."

My paint set has been released. This week we have been taking a class at PAAM (Provincetown Art Association Museum) called The Golden Hour. It involved going out into the landscape to observe and respond to the local environment. Rainy weather and grey skies deterred our process a bit, but overall it was an amazing experience. We had to retreat inside yesterday, but here are my color studies of the bay. I think they might be the start of something...
