Day 78: Back to Everything

my kindergarten style handwriting in Japanese

It's back to school, work, scheduling, and time-crunching. The cross into September this past week was a bit of a shock to the system. It seems most everyone is adjusting to the reality of many new projects, responsibilities, appointments, emails and things to simply respond to (and look forward to). It is the season of "more of everything than we have been used to".

Today, while waiting for Tropical Storm Hanna to arrive, and in between catching up with family, working with clients and writing grant applications, I am attempting to relearn the most basic elements of Japanese, the hiragana and katakana alphabets (how could I forget so much in just 3 months?!).

It is slow going, but what fun it will be to look back in a couple of months and see how far we have all come in such a short amount of time- with everything.
